Maventa ePayslip offers over 600 000 electronic payslips to Finnish employees every month. It is part of Visma Solutions product portfolio and we are about to start modernizing the product in close co-operation with Netvisor product development.
What to expect when you join us?
We are looking for an experienced developer to take part in the renewal and development of the ePayslip product. The team is tiny but effective, and supported by designers, infra engineers, and architects. Our developers play a key role in the modernization and continuous development of our products. We value responsibility and freedom, so our teams make a lot of important and independent product development related decisions in their daily work. Our culture is very sparring and encouraging and we share our knowledge. Teamwork is important to us - we believe that several people often solve bigger challenges faster than one.
The current version of the product is built on .NET framework, but with the renewal and the field being green, the new technology stack is still open.
Our hopes for our new colleague
In order to succeed in this role, you should have a few years of experience in fullstack development and in the following areas:
Proficiency in some object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java).
Some expertise in frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular) as well as TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and Sass.
Experience with relational databases (eg. SQL Server).
Understanding of security (security standards, encryption, user management, threat management).
Competence in writing and maintaining tests.
In addition, you should have:
Proactive "can and will do" attitude. While seniority is not a priority, the ability to get things done efficiently and effectively is important.
Great team player skills with a keen social eye in different situations.
Fluent communication skills both in written and spoken English. The team is Finnish speaking, but English is our company language. Finnish language skills are not a must in this team, but nice to have.
While not essential, previous experience with payroll systems or in a highly regulated industry would be a valuable asset. It's also greatly beneficial if you have experience with cloud-native applications, Kubernetes, AWS, or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Our team uses GitHub for version control, along with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD for continuous integration and deployment.

Although we're connected throughout the day, we don't physically sit close to each other, so we don't expect you to either. However, we would like you to occasionally visit your team mates at our offices in either Helsinki or Lappeenranta.
We believe diversity is a richness so we would love to have applications from people with various backgrounds. However, we are not able to offer relocation services so you would need to be based in Finland and have a valid work permit.
The salary range in this position is difficult to estimate as it can be anything between 4000-6000 €/month depending on your relevant experience and seniority, but we are happy to hear your expectations.
