Our accounting office partners manage the financial administration of over 50 000 Finnish companies and entrepreneurs by using Fivaldi. Our goal is to transform the industry by digitalizing the everyday financial management for small and medium-sized businesses.

We are now looking for an AI Platform Engineer to drive the development and adoption of AI-powered solutions for our product development organization.

What to expect when joining us?

This is a hands-on platform role at the intersection of developer tooling, AI/ML infrastructure, and software engineering. You'll be designing and building the internal platform, pipelines, and foundational components that let our product teams move faster, automate more, and ship with confidence. This role centers on empowering development teams to adopt new AI-driven development practices and create AI-powered features for end users.

• You will design and build our internal AI platform: services, tooling, APIs, and agentic workflows that developers across the organization can build on.

• You will drive the adoption of AI-assisted practices across the software development lifecycle, from idea to production.

• You will integrate and use shared infrastructure and services for AI/ML workloads, keeping systems production-grade, observable, and cost-efficient.

• You will build and maintain automation pipelines that integrate AI capabilities.

• You will define platform standards: reliability, security, cost governance, and operational runbooks.

• You will partner with developers, software architects, AI architects as well as other stakeholders to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical, reusable platform components.

• You will facilitate technical working groups and team syncs to align direction and unblock teams.

Our product development organization consists of ~30 people. You'll belong in our Platform & Infrastructure team, but work in close collaboration with cross-functional product teams, translating their needs into reliable and scalable platform capabilities.

How to succeed?

You're a platform engineer who is motivated by making other engineers faster and more effective. You prototype quickly, care about production quality, and know how to take something from proof-of-concept to a platform other teams can rely on. You're comfortable driving things forward without waiting for perfect clarity.

Your background:

• Several years in cloud-native software development, platform or infrastructure engineering, with production experience (familiarity with AWS is a plus).

• Strong programming skills, with hands-on experience shipping work using agentic coding tools (e.g. Claude Code).

• Experience with LLMOps/MLOps, familiarity with services like Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, or equivalent.

• Informed perspective on AI in product development, grounded in concrete work you can point to.

• Experience in designing and maintaining developer platforms, agentic workflows, internal tooling, or shared services at scale.

• Solid grasp of CI/CD, developer experience, and modern software delivery practices.

• Collaboration skills and proven ability to drive change across the product development organization, communicating clearly with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders (in English - Finnish is considered an asset).

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Some nice to haves:

• Background in platform product thinking: treating internal developers as your customers.

• Familiarity with financial management, regulated environments, or enterprise-grade compliance requirements.
